World, meet baby Caroline!

First of all, this family was just the cutest! Like several of my clients, the Jones family just welcomed a new baby and had a busy toddler at home. Real talk right now…photographing toddlers is hard. They have their own agenda and very rarely does it involve sitting quietly for photos. While it is a hard gig, I LOVE photographing this age. Some of my absolute favorite sessions include toddlers because you really get to see the family’s many facets and their gallery is always full of personality. This is why I always let children/babies lead my sessions. If big brother wants to jump on the bed, we go with it. If he wants to play hide & seek in the curtains, let’s do it. Read his favorite book, Little Blue Truck, in-between mom and dad, sure! As a mom, this is how you are going to remember this phase of life. It’s a little chaotic and imperfect but full of so many sweet, beautiful moments.
