Who ever would have thought we would be here?! I want to thank everyone who had to postpone a session for their kindness and understanding. I really do have the best clients! Now that photographers have been given the green light to go back to work and sessions are being rescheduled, I know several of you are curious about what sessions will look like going forward.
As a Houston photographer who works with littles, here are the COVID 19 precautions I have in place to help keep your family & mine safe during our time together!
– Upon arrival, I will put on a mask, remove my shoes and wash my hands thoroughly before handling your baby. I kindly ask all clients to also wash their hands before the session starts. My job is very difficult to do without touching baby at all but I will try to have minimal contact as possible. If you aren’t comfortable with this, I can simply instruct you to swaddle, move, and position baby during the session.
-For those who choose to borrow from the client wardrobe, you’ll only be allowed to try on 4 dresses before your session. Clients are still welcome to swing by my home to try on/select wardrobe but I ask that masks are worn during this time. For those who aren’t comfortable with this we can schedule a time to Facetime.
-After each session, every wrap, blanket and prop used are cleaned/sanitized and any gowns that are worn are cleaned.
I will only schedule ONE newborn session a day to allow for thorough sanitization & cleaning. Also for the time being, in-home sessions will be limited to immediate family only.
-All sessions that can be held outdoors are encouraged to minimize contact. As usual, these sessions will take place 1-2 hours before sunset.
-Hand sanitizer will be used for outdoor sessions and I will wear a mask. I will use a a long lens to photograph outdoor sessions to maintain a safe 6′ distance and as much as it makes me sad, I will avoid personal contact with clients. This means no handshakes, hugs, or moving hair or clothing during the session. I will do my very best to direct you from a safe distance.
-The same precautions apply for dresses borrowed from the client wardrobe for field sessions as in-home sessions.
